Protecting the Value of your Art Once the painting has been printed at the original commissioned size (one only unless other wise requested) and any additional prints are printed (at a smaller size, if requested) the original digital file is destroyed unless other arrangements have been made, therefore ensuring the integrity and value of the piece. A: The artwork is rendered on to archival artist grade canvas or exhibition grade paper, under proper care the art work will last up to 200 years or longer. Q: How long does it take to finish a piece? A: Depending on the detail, what the subject is and if any retouching needs to be done, between 9 - 12 weeks.
